IT WAS A SCAM!!!!?!?

Alright blog world....Good Gals Inc is MAD!!!

So Mike took Yankee to the agency yesterday and everything was going great they loved him, built it up like he could be on the next Milkbone box. Yadda Yadda Yadda. So at the end of the appointment they left him alone in a room then they come back and say......

"And to make all this happen you just need to pay us $2,000!"

WHAT!?!? I mean is this guy serious?? Obviosuly Mike freaked out and was like NO WAY and thanks for wasting my time.

I'm sorry, but how creepy that this person just hangs out at the dog park looking for suckers. CREEPY! I just feel bad because everyone on their website was totally screwed out of the money. You should NEVER pay an agency before you getting work, I don't care if your a dog or a person.

Such a let down!!!

YOU SUCK HOLLYWOOD PAWS!!!!!!

  1. Ugh. That is terrible! Thank goodness Mike didn't go for it! Modeling contract or not, Yankee is still one cute dog!

  2. Oh no! That's terrible...I was telling my bf this story because he takes our dog to the park all the time (and he's super cute too!) so I was letting him know that our little one could end up a dog model...he said that's a scam and I was like no way, they want to find cute dogs!

But it is a scam and now I'm sad.

Your dog is still a cutie! :)

  3. Oh poor Yankee (and Mike)!
He may not be the next Lassie (yet) but he still has the looks to make it big, he's such a cutie.

  4. What a bummer. But I'm so glad that you and Mike were smart enough to know not to pay up front. What's sad is that they can get away with that with some people. Way to stand your ground!

(I'll be Yankee's agent any day. I have no experience, but will be unemployed in California in 3 days. =)

  10. It is OK. Because I pissed in the office of the woman who gave Dad the contract. And Dad didn't tell her. Then I bit a puppy on the way out. Dad and I are going to Le Paws Agency.

  17. Ugh, that's horrible! Even though it didn't work out we still think Yankee is the cutest :)

And I love that you watched HSM 3! I've deep down (read: really!) wanted to see those movies, simply because I hear so much about them. Maybe I'll have to add it to my Netflix queue :)

  19. That is such a cute idea! I'll have to run it by mom. I've been good..just crazy busy. How are you?? I've missed blogging lol and reading and catching up with everyone else's blog. How's work? How's Mike? School will end in a month or so, so hopefully things will die down around then. I'm trying to look for a new job too.. so that is adding to everything! lol

  20. I've heard of this happening to people modeling agencies, but dogs! I mean, come on! What jerks!

  21. This same thing happened to my friend, only with her kids not her dog. After keeping them waiting and wasting hours of their day they found out that it wasn't a casting call, the people were trying to get them to pay to be clients of their child modeling service. I would be SO mad!

  24. I checked Hollywoodpaws and they are located at Los Angeles Center Studio and have a list of Movies and TV credits longer than my arm. The best about this company is that their mission statemnet is to use dogs from a domestic home and not from a caged animal company.Traiing is required for all dogs and owners. The trainers all have dergre's in animal behavior. Maybe dogs from Arkansaw just bark but in Hollywood they act. Just a question did you take dance classes or were you born with talent and no brains? Zoro
